Re: Fabric shop.s in France
Bezier is a place we just whizz by on the M-way to Montpellier! Maybe worth a detour!
Don't get me wrong, we do get cold weather here, but it tends to be dry cold, if that makes sense. Can usually be outside during the day up till christmas. We have had christmas lunch on the terrace more than once and often new year's day drinks too! February and March are often the coldest months and we get rain in the spring. A deep depression falls over the catalans if there are more than 2 dull days on the trot! We try to make ourselves scarce for a few weeks during that time and go off somewhere warm. The countryside is a lot more dramatic than the dordogne, which always reminds me of the cotswolds, and as I said it's not as neat and well-groomed! Coastal resorts are an absolute nighmare from 14 july to 15th august but outside the sacred holiday month they are very quiet. We shouldn't perhaps take up forum space chatting about this here, so you can pm me if you want to talk more!
