I too have found my Janome Coverpro likes the Empress Mills wooly nylon/bulk 80s in the lower looper (remember to use the net with the smaller spools), but only seems to like Moon thread in the needles. I tend to only use the two outside needles, but found with other thread the right hand thread kept snapping no matter what tension was used. I thought initially that it was because that needle went through the elastic aswell as lycra/stretch velvet, whereas the left needle just missed it, but no, it was the thread, it likes the Moon one.

I think its just a case of setting aside some 'play time' - remember to walk away and have a coffee (or something stronger) when you start to get frustrated through, as I think the machine picks up on it and starts to play tricks on you! lol
