Knowing how the business works it is quite possible that the machines are all made in the same factory but this is not necessarily the case. It is quite common for an identical machine to be built in China, Taiwan and Japan. The Taiwanese version is usually the best trade off in terms of value and quality.

As Ros has pointed out it is probably more important that you buy a machine from a reputable dealer who is known to stand behind the product. Even the best quality German or Japanese machine is worthless if the dealer cannot help you set the machine up for the job you want it to do!
