Default Re: Looking for a pattern for jersey pyjama bottoms

Oh the dreaded jersey pyjamas! I wanted to surprise my husband with a new pair. I tried using an old pair as a pattern, didn't realise that jersey gets shorter and wider, and shorter and wider.. Cut a 3" fold off each leg and they are still enormous. The top is now too short and far too wide. I tried a yoke of fabric running the other way, to stop it stretching, and it has dropped back to a better length, but the neck hole had stretched too.(stitched up the bottom few inches) Definitely a surprise ,We laughed till we cried. But it was a lovely weight jersey. I wanted to bin them but he insists on wearing them because the fabric is great, (but has to complain about the fit every time) Thanks for mentioning those patterns, going to have a look. If they work for me, the originals are for the bin.
