Default Re: Customised apron for my son

HI,

Well I've sewn the scrap apron together, and I've uploaded two pics, one of the pockets and one of the complete apron. The stitching is in different colours and types of stitch so its easier to see how it's sewn and the fabric is believe it or not one of my husbands old shirts lol. It doesn't look very tidy but I didn't take too much time on it, just wanted it for size etc. Will send it to my son tomorrow and see what he thinks.

When I sewed the waistband together It was obvious that sewing it inside out and then turning it in wouldn't work with the canvas so I'll have to do that another way.

I also think the pockets will be too small but they can be changed to suit the job. Some of the pockets haven't had the bottom sewn - that was deliberate so that things can go through like pens, screwdrivers etc.

Anyway will keep you posted and like I say, happy for feedback and suggestions becuase I'm making it up as I go along lol
