Question How can I add shimmer/sparkle to fabric?

Hi,
I am making something that requires a specific colour and patterned fabric. Its taken me quite a while to find one as close as I can, except I need the fabric to be slightly shimmery, but am not sure how to do this? It doesn't have to be permanent, but I would like it to last a day or two of wearing.

I make cakes a lot and own some "lustre spray" for them that can make the icing sparkly, so I thought about looking up fabric sparkle sprays - I found this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tulip-Fabric.../dp/B000Q1A04O but was wondering if anyone knows if it's any good?? The description says it is fabric paint, so I am worried that would cover up the existing fabric colour.

I know this is quite an obscure question, so thank you in advance if anyone can give me any advice!
