Long long ago in my distant past at fashion school I took an optional machine knitting course and really enjoyed it. Back then it was all punch cards and bent college needles but it was still fun.
Recently I was asked about putting a knitted top section on a swimsuit which I thought was a good idea but I really had no idea about knitting patterns or what can be done these days. Having had a look around here I've been overtaken by a desire to buy a knitting machine (not to mention an embroidery machine). I'm pretty technically minded and computer literate even though I would be a beginner to machine knitting. Can anyone recommend a machine that would be both a good place to start and something that I could use professionally for both my made to fit clients and pattern work? thanks Stuart |
