Advent Calendar 2013 Sew Along
On a knitting forum, there is often a knit along, when someone suggests a type of project or particular pattern and those who wish to sign up in the thread and share how its going and pictures of their projects at the end.
As some of you may have read I started a thread relating to an advent calendar sewing project, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a sew along to make advent calendars? You keep your project so if you are making one for the family you can keep your gift.
There are lots of tutorials for adventurous or more advanced sewers if you want to design something from scratch, or for newbies like me you can get printed sheets, which you cut out the squares and sew them to the backing picture add batting and quilt in areas you choose then put another fabric on the back.
You can get the printed advent calendars from Ebay as well as sewing shops.
Mine is; 889 Fireplace Advent calendar; The Henley Studio by Makower UK
as mentioned before there are quite a few on Ebay and online sewing stores.
